Whether you have struggled to cope with challenges in your life, feel overwhelmed, unsure what to do, or stuck, coming to therapy can be hard. You may feel like you worry constantly, have a hard time connecting with other people, don't have control of your emotions, or like you're drowning under stress. We all have patterns that get in the way of living our lives to the fullest. Exploring your patterns and learning to do things differently can help you take control, meet your goals, have more satisfying interpersonal relationships, and feel better about who you are as a person.
I am a trauma-informed therapist who uses a person-centred approach. I believe that there's no one-size-fits-all solution in therapy, and want to collaborate with you to find what works best to meet your unique needs. Together we can create a space where you're free to be 100% you without fear of judgment. I incorporate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, motivational interviewing, humanistic, emotion-focused, and sensorimotor techniques within my practice. I received my trauma-focused training at the Women's College Hospital Trauma Therapy Program in Toronto.
I help adults who may be struggling with the impacts of childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, relationship issues, struggles with intimacy, sexuality, gender identity, self-harm, life transitions, grief and loss, and more. I am knowledgeable about LGBT2SQIA+ issues and have an interest in working with people who may identify as being a member of a gender or sexual minority. My goal is to help you foster resilience, establish safety and stability, and find happiness and contentment in your life.
